The inspection crew included a maintenance worker named Steve. He was helpful. Here's what happened at the time of the inspection.
- One ceiling light in the kitchen had its bulbs missing. The other ceiling light was just right, but with one light bulb inserted. Kitchen lighting fixtures are decades old.
- My bedroom had some of its electrical outlet covers broken off. The bedroom also had holes in its wall that could be fixed with tools in a bucket of Home Depot paint.
- In the bathroom, it turned out that the sink, toilet and bathtub were just right.
My bedroom had two parts of the wall ripped off, which could be rebuilt using drywall tools.
All three smoke detectors were just right, with Steve deciding that one is good for a little while longer.
The fridge, range hood, and stove oven are decades old and could be replaced by newer appliances.
The laundry room looks decades old and needs a new design.
Some doorknobs are decades old.
